Biannual Live Auditions
Now Casting: Late 2026 + Winter/Spring 2027
UPTOWN is holding its biannual NYC auditions for core members, swings, and subs for the upcoming touring season.
Rehearsals begin October 2026
Performances begin November 2026 and continue through February 2027, with potential dates extending into March and April.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking New Black and mixed-race male-presenting performers ages 25–35 who meet the following:

Tenor or high baritone with modern R&B tone

Strong harmony ability and confident lead vocals

Moves well: commercial dance, staging, musicality, choreography

Fit, athletic, and performance-ready in appearance

Charismatic, polished stage presence

Professional, reliable, and a fast learner

Able to travel for tours, cruises, and specialty dates
Competitive Pay Across Multiple Contract Types
Cruise Ship Contracts:
Starting at $1,400 per week
Travel and accommodations provided
Land Tours & Theater Dates:
Starting at $600 per routed show
Travel and accommodations provided
Community Concerts:
Starting at $400 per show
Paid Training / Rehearsal Intensives:
$1,000 weekly per diem
Travel and housing provided
This is professional, consistent work with opportunities for repeat contracts.
